Las Vegas headline act Gerry McCambridge
For many years Gerry McCambridge has been headlining in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Casino. I personally first saw him on Patti Stanger Millionaire Matchmaker show. But who is McCambridge and what type of mentalism does he do?
He has performed his one man, award winning show “The Mentalist” over 3,900 times in Las Vegas making him the longest running and most successful Mentalist show in Las Vegas history!
Who is Gerry McCambridge?
Gerry McCambridge actually learned some skills from observing his father who was a NYC detective and an expert at interrogation. He performed his first show at the age of just 12, but it was when he turned 15 that he started touring the country.
Among the subjects McCambdidge studied, these included memory techniques, body language, hypnosis, non-verbal communication and magic. He also studied stand up comedy, which is something he uses in his act in Las Vegas.

Since first appearing in Las Vegas with Criss Angel and Uri Geller in 2007, Gerry McCambridge has had the longest running mentalist show in Las Vegas history.

TV show aired to over 6.2 million across the world
But it was in May 2004 that Gerry McCambridge had his first prime-time network TV special titled “The Mentalist.” This one-hour special program was aired to over 6.2 million viewers.

Apart from his native home of United States where it was shown, it also aired in Canada, South Africa, Korea, The Middle East, New Zealand, India, Thailand, Australia, Denmark, The Netherlands, Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
The International Magicians Society presented Gerry McCambridge with the “Merlin Award” for “Mentalist of the Decade”. He was the first mentalist in history to receive the Merlin award for mentalism since the organizations inception in 1968.
